Green Goddess Salad Bowl

  • 2 cups mixed green leaves (such as spinach, arugula, and kale)
  • 1 medium-sized tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage (red or green, or a mix of both)
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced into wedges
  • 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3-4 strips of grilled or baked chicken breast
  • Fresh oregano leaves for garnish

For the Dressing:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Prepare the Greens: Wash the mixed greens thoroughly and pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel. Place the greens in a large salad bowl.
  2. Add Vegetables: Arrange the tomato wedges, avocado wedges, and shredded cabbage on top of the greens.
  3. Include Protein: Add the chickpeas and strips of grilled chicken on top of the vegetables.
  4. Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preference.
  5. Assemble the Salad: Drizzle the dressing over the salad ingredients in the bowl.
  6. Garnish: Garnish the salad with fresh oregano leaves. The vibrant green color of the oregano leaves adds a beautiful touch to the salad.
